About the Trombone Shorty Academy
The Trombone Shorty Academy is a local nonprofit created to encourage young people's passion for music and give them the skills to pursue a musical career. Founded by Troy "Trombone Shorty" Andrews and Bill Taylor, this program has provided young people with a chance to apprentice in the music industry, take free music lessons, and perform on stages across the country.
There are plenty of nonprofits that serve the country and many that are based in New Orleans for you to support this holiday season.
