Tulane vs. Tulsa 2026

Tulane fans finally got an answer to the questions they have had all season long, and it was not the one they were looking for.

The Green Wave welcomed over 25,000 fans for Homecoming weekend, the majority of which had left by before the third quarter as the home team trailed 32-0.

Tulane scored with one second left to provide the only excitement of the game in a 60-10 loss to the Tulsa Golden Hurricanes.

Coach Will Hall's post game comments offered little to no comfort to Green Wave fans as Hall insinuated that any faculty or staff changes would have to wait until the offseason.

"We have three more games, we go to Rice in seven days," Hall said, "Right now I'm focused on taking this team and playing much, much better in Houston at Rice. Every ounce of energy I've got will be focused on that."

It's hard to find a bright spot from the blowout loss with no 50-yard rusher or 100-yard passer, but the reps the second team received late could be helpful if Tulane suffers any injuries as the season winds down.

Coach Hall put backup quarterback Dagan Bruno, normally only put in to run the ball, in some passing scenarios, and he ended the game with his first touchdown of the season.

However, the feeling amongst fans is something needs to change with Tulane's conference championship aspirations gone and bowl game eligibility on the line.

The Green Wave heads to Houston to face a struggling Rice 1-8 team as they attempt to get their fifth win of the season and come within one win of bowl eligibility.
