The Orpheum Theater reopens tonight just before Hurricane Katrina's tenth anniversary that shut down the theater. This breath-taking art-deco theater, built in 1921, is sloped on the top tiers to give the audience a more intimate feel. The owners feel confident that the inclusion of the LPO's performances and many varied bands will bring a wide audience to this beautiful historic place. Tonight, a champagne reception will officially open the Orpheum Theater to it's awaiting audience.
