The Eliza Jane Hotel, along with its fabulous new restaurant Couvant, is now open! The hotel is the former site of The Daily Picayune, the Gulf Baking Soda company, and a factory producing New Orleans’s famous Peychaud’s Bitters. Named after Eliza Jane Nicholson, America’s first woman publisher, the hotel boasts 196 rooms, a beautiful courtyard, a fitness center, and many more amenities.
Thursday night was The Eliza Jane’s grand opening celebration. There was live music, live painting, champagne, cocktails, plenty of food, and lots of special guests.
