The Barnett's Valentine's Day Offerings
If you are looking for a unique spin on your Valentines day plans this year, the Barnett Hotel is hosting a party that is sure to be unforgettable.
Renowned New Orleans band The Rumble will be performing at the Barnett's venue Good Measure. The Rumble is a Grammy nominated group that produces a mix of soul and jazz music with Mardi Gras Indian tradition at the forefront of their sound. They are led by Chief Joseph Boudreaux Jr., the leader of the Golden Eagles Black Masking Indian tribe.
The Rumble puts on a show like no other and is a taste of New Orleans magic. The show will start at 11 p.m., after the Endymion parade on February 14, and will go until 1 am. The venue is just a block away from the parade route! Each person will be given a complimentary Mardi Gras mask to continue the festivities.
In addition to the party, the Barnett's associated restaurants will also be offering special menus for the season.

Salon Salon's Menu
Salon Salon will have a prix fixe menu available for $175 with Cajun caviar, oysters, steak tartare with pomme frites, and Charles Mignon Rose champagne! They will also have three specially crafted Carnival cocktails. The Flambeaux has tequila, génépy, turmeric, and sweet potato. Krewe de Verte is made with rum, melon liqueur, and cilantro. Finally, Purple Reign is vodka, lavender liquer, Italicus, and quinquina. The cocktails will be green, purple, and gold to celebrate Mardi Gras and will each be $18.

Brutto Americano's Menu
Brutto Americano will also have a prix fixe menu that is $88 for two people. The appetizer offered is a butter lettuce salad with fresh avocado green goddess dressing, coriander panna gratta, and spring vegetables. The main course will be an 8-oz Oscar filet with jumbo lump crab, bearnaise, and asparagus. It will be served with Italian creamed spinach, pecorino fonduta, and breadcrumbs. As a desert, each couple will get fresh Louisiana strawberries with Chantilly and blood orange granita. There are also two glasses of sparkling wine included with the meal.[The Barnett, Website]
Cocktails from the Lobby
Finally, the hotel's bar The Lobby, is offering three Mardi Gras cocktails. Midnight Parade has blackberry, orange, and sparkling soda. Ginger Balance is made with ginger beer, lime, and demerara sugar. Finally, there's the Verdure Harmony, which is a mix of cucumber, lime, and soda. These cocktails will also be Mardi Gras colors! They can also be made non-alcoholic.
