The Annual Author's Luncheon to Fight Alzheimer's is Held at the Cannery

On Thursday, May 19, the 5th Annual "Chefs in Kind" Author's Luncheon, sponsored by the Alzheimer’s Association,was held at The Cannery. Chefs and culinary experts Poppy Tooker, John Folse, Ti Martin and Cynthia LeJeune Nobles sold and signed their books in order to raise money to help fight Alzheimer’s Disease.  These “chefs in kind” also spoke about their New Orleans food experiences to the attendees over lunch, followed by a Q&A. The discussion was led by Master of Ceremonies and food journalist Tom Fitzmorris. This event has raised more than $120,000 for Alzheimer’s prevention and care in the five years it has been in existence.
