Sync Up, a program run by the New Orleans Jazz & Heritage Foundation, will be hosting Branding 2 Booking — workshop events that help musicians book gigs. With two upcoming events, one on October 11 and another on October 18, Branding 2 Booking will work with New Orleans' premiere talent buyers and managers in order to provide the best possible guidance and advice.

The October 11 event, titled 'Thanks, MGMT' will be moderated by Nate Cameron Jr., and will focus on prioritizing better quality bookings more frequently. It will start at 6 p.m. and run for approximately 2 hours.

The second event on October 18, titled 'Primo Promo', is also moderated by Nate Cameron Jr., and will highlight what practices and promotional activities improve booking rates. This night also begins at 6 p.m. and runs for 2 hours.

The New Orleans Jazz & Heritage Foundation funds year-round programs in education, economic development, and cultural enrichment with the profits made from the Jazz & Heritage Festival each year. Their goal is to benefit the New Orleans community through programs, workshops, and more.

Branding 2 Booking was created in collaboration with the New Orleans Jazz & Heritage Foundation and Them People Productions to help New Orleans artists take full advantage of the festival and entertainment economy in the city. By bringing booking agents, talent buyers, venue owners, and promoters together to share their perspectives, Branding 2 Booking will help expand the networks of local musicians.
