On Saturday, August 8, the SERA Invitational Rodeo is taking over the Smoothie King Center for a night of fearless, high-stakes showdowns.

Who is SERA?

The Southeastern Rodeo Association is a family-friendly tradition anchored in sportsmanship and entertainment.

SERA has a mission to support, preserve, and entertain. Their mission involves keeping the cowboy way of life alive and upholding the role African Americans played in both the West and in rodeo.

In doing so, they aim to support the community through scholarships for children, and to bring the community together for nights of athleticism and entertainment.

How to See It

The SERA rodeo started with 7,000 visitors its first year and has played to over half a million since. With its first time in New Orleans, tickets are anticipated to sell fast. You can find them here.
