Styled Up & Ready to Talk

A panel discussion focusing on the contributions of wardrobe and styling workers in the entertainment industry will be taking place in September.

Presented by NOVAC and Film New Orleans, the panel, which is titled "SYNC UP Seminar: Styling and Wardrobe in Film," will take place on September 18 at NOLA's historic Gallier Hall on St. Charles Avenue from 3 to 5 p.m.

The panel will bring together local professionals in both wardrobe and styling and have them discuss how the two industries intersect with each other. The event will also focus on the highs and lows of both fields, as well as how the work of both wardrobe and styling contribute to storytelling in films, television programs, and indie projects.

The discussion is part of NOVAC's SYNC UP Seminar series, which hosts a number of different film professionals and lets them present their experience and share insight on the topic of their expertise. The series, which is also presented by the New Orleans Jazz and Heritage Foundation, also serves as a way for local independent filmmakers and audiences to connect and network with members inside of the entertainment industry.

The panel discussion is free and open to the public. However, registration is required.
