What is the Presqu'ile Winery?

The Presqu'ile Winery is a California-based winery owned by the Murphy family. Madison and Suzanne are co-founders, and their daughter Anna leads as the company's enologist—an expert in the study of wine.

The family has ties to the Mississippi Gulf Coast, having formerly gathered there. However, that region was heavily damaged during Hurricane Katrina.

The family named the winery after the Creole word for "almost an island," The Murphy's strive to combine Southern hospitality with the freshness of California valley wine.

The winery is located on a Santa Maria Valley estate, where contents are sustainably farmed. They cultivate French-Burgundian wine with help from winemaker and Pinot Noir specialist Dieter Cronje.
