Novac's Summer Teaching Training

From July 24-July 28, Novac is hosting a two-part training program for educators to deepen both their digital media content knowledge and technical skills in Adobe Photoshop and/or Premiere Pro. Additionally, the training will incorporate how to create a rigorous and engaging learning environment able to prepare young learners for a creative career.
The first part of the program will take place Monday through Wednesday. Using Adobe Photoshop and/or Premier Pro, attendees will immerse themselves in the core concepts of digital media production and learn image editing, graphic design, video editing, and more. The training will engage in practices for file management, organization, optimization, and gaining understanding of exporting and sharing projects across various platforms.
The second part of the training program will take place on Thursday and Friday. This section will work to enhance teaching skills by creating engaging digital media lessons. Attendees can dive into project based learning as well as align lessons with rigorous professional standards, and foster technical and creative expression among their students. The training will teach effective strategies to engage students, promote critical thinking, and inspire innovative creativity in the classroom.
