Mélange by Cali Sober Market in NOLA
As the functional drink and THC/CBD-infused beverage industry booms, Mélange by Cali Sober Market hopes to feature the best in non-alcoholic adult beverages in a pretty space above Bamboula's on Frenchmen Street.
Founder Monica Olano opened Cali Sober Market, a functional beverage store, in Metairie within the last year, and she noticed that a space to be able to enjoy such drinks among an alcohol-heavy entertainment district was needed. The multi-room bar and restaurant space above Bamboula's seemed like a perfect fit.
Monica mixed up several drinks for us including the Mélange Old Fashioned, Vesper Martini, and Cali Sober Love Potion. Each drink has a listing of ingredients explaining how the drink can give you an energy buzz, a calming feeling, or a buzz from THC available in individual vials so that the patron can mix exactly the right amount for themselves.
Mélange is open Thursdays through Sundays 7 p.m. to 1 a.m. Small plates are available (try the boudin balls!), and those who prefer an alcoholic beverage are welcome to bring them up to Mélange from the downstairs bar.
