New Orleans ChristmasFest 2025
New Orleans doesn't do anything halfway, and that includes Christmas. NOLA ChristmasFest is back at the Ernest N. Morial Convention Center from December 20-29, proving once again that this city can make winter magic happen even when it's 70 degrees outside.
Now in its 12th year, the festival features a full-sized ice-skating rink, a newly constructed life-sized gingerbread house, and an expanded four-lane ice slide zone called "Big Freezy." This year's standout addition is ice bumper cars, though spots are extremely limited and require separate reservations. So, if you want to try these exciting new additions, plan to arrive early to ensure your spot.
The festival runs two daily sessions, beginning at 11 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. and 4 p.m. to 9 p.m. Santa is available for professional photos through Christmas Eve, and the Holiday Stage features live entertainment and craft activities. The Elf Lounge serves seasonal cocktails with views overlooking the ice rink. Ticket prices range from $25 on weekdays to $30 on weekends.

A Crescent City Christmas
A special "Skating with Santa" event takes place Sunday, December 21, from 9:30 to 11 a.m., offering exclusive early access with decorated donuts, a hot cocoa bar, and six total hours of festival access. Space is limited, so early booking is recommended.
This year, NOLA ChristmasFest is completely cashless. This includes concessions and parking. Parking reservations can be made in advance through the ParkMobile app.
Every year, this beloved tradition reimagines palm trees as Christmas evergreens and the city's rainfall as a serene winter snowfall. If you are looking to continue these festive spirits, stop by City Park and experience their amazing Celebration in the Oaks.
NOLA ChristmasFest is a winter wonderland, exciting for all ages, and the perfect place to ring in the holiday season. Get your tickets early and be ready to have a holly jolly Christmas this year with the New Orleans ChristmasFest.
