Celebration in the Oaks 2025
Celebration in the Oaks is City Park's largest fundraiser, turning an extravagant light festival into a New Orleans holiday tradition for the last four decades.
From November 28 to January 1, two mile driving and walking tours are provided to guests interested in observing the light displays and botanical gardens, as well as accessing the amusement park rides. Proceeds contribute to the upkeep and enhancement of the park year round.
Event Details
Tour options vary, ranging in prices from $25 to $265. Guests have their choice of walking, biking or driving, with accommodations for vehicles fitting up to 20 people. Tour hours are 6 to 10 p.m. from Monday to Thursday, 5 to 10 p.m. Fridays and Saturdays, and 5 to 9 p.m. on Sundays.
The trail features over one million decorative lights, bringing the holiday spirit to City Park. If opting for a driving tour, guests will follow these lights through the trail for a 30 to 45 minute tour.
All tickets for a driving tour must be purchased in advance and a limited number of tickets will be sold daily. Cars, SUVs, limos, and sprinter vans are accepted into the park for varying prices.
If touring by car or SUV, the prices range from $25 to $80. A Dasher Pass can be added to any vehicle tour for a price increase of $40, and allow guests to skip the line upon arrival at the park.
A limo tour is $150 and a sprinter van tour is $225. Bike tours are also available for $7, from December 1 to 4, 6 to 9 p.m. only.
Walking tours range from $20 to $35 and can be combined with a driving tour for only $25 in total.
City Park also offers holiday-inspired add-ons to guests' tour packages, including the annual City Park ornament and festive mini golf.
