The Junior League of New Orleans (JLNO) is proud to announce the return of their annual "Touch a Truck" event on Saturday Nov. 12 at the Pontchartrain Center on 4545 Williams Boulevard in Kenner. The event will run from 10 a.m to 4 p.m, and will feature trucks used in a variety of essential services. This year's lineup will include an ambulance, helicopter, fire truck, sailboat, and many more. At "Touch a Truck,'' children and their families will have the incredible opportunity to get an up-close look at some of their favorite trucks, interact with the equipment, and even get the chance to sit in the driver's seat themselves. Additionally, those who visit this year's "Touch a Truck" event will get to meet the men and women who use these trucks on a day-to-day basis to serve the New Orleans community.
"The Junior League of New Orleans is excited to host this hands-on event and provide the opportunity for children to connect with the vehicles and the people who build, serve, and protect our community," said JLNO President Holly Paczak.
An Exciting Opportunity for a Good Cause
All proceeds from this year's "Touch a Truck" event will go towards future JLNO community projects. JLNO is a New Orleans based nonprofit that is devoted to promoting volunteerism in an effort to improve the quality of life for women and families, as well as the communities they live in.
