Pass to New Orleans Culture

The New Orleans Library's Culture Pass Program, which provides the opportunity for those who hold a Library card to visit New Orleans attractions for free, has just added The Historic BK House & Gardens and the Louisiana Philharmonic Orchestra. This program allows cardholders to visit a diverse range of places that they might not otherwise have been able to visit.

The New Orleans Public Library has roots dating back as far as 1843 and has grown from a single French Quarter house to a 15-location system all over Orleans Parish. They aim to transform lives, preserve history, and enrich neighborhoods.

Since music and architecture are such important parts of New Orleans, the BK House & Gardens and LPO will enhance the program immensely. Executive Director of BK House & Gardens, Annie Irvin, has stated her excitement to be able to invite locals to the French Quarter to tour the property. The iconic property showcases 200 years of French Quarter history, told through many families and people who have lived and worked onsite.

The Louisiana Philharmonic Orchestra's Executive Director Anwar Nasir is equally excited to welcome cardholders to visit their orchestra programs. Arts are an integral part of the human experience, and partnerships with organizations like the Culture Pass Program make art more accessible to community members. Cardholders will have an amazing season of programming to look forward to.

Each Historic BK House & Gardens Culture Pass will admit two adults and two children for General Admission on Monday-Saturday from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Cardholders may reach out to the House to reserve their tour time once they have reserved a pass.
