We know that while America's favorite pastime is Baseball, one of New Orleans favorite pastimes is no doubt bowling. A night out at the bowling alley is long engrained in social life in New Orleans, dating back to the 1930s with open air bowl lanes.

Rock n' Bowl has awesome bands play the venue most nights of the week, typically Wednesday through Saturday, and always updates their website with the latest music news. Enjoy music ranging from Zydeco to Rock N'Roll and Funk. At Rock n' Bowl, its hard to choose between the lanes and the dance floor. Let the good times roll at Westside Bowling Lanes this National Bowling Day. Westside Bowling Lanes originally opened its doors in the 1960s, and was the first bowling alley on its side of the river. While they unfortunately had to close up for quite some time in the early 2000's, they renovated and reopened in 2016 as the only bowling alley on the Westbank.

Enjoy bowling, pool, billiards, partying, and great American-Creole food via Bistreaux as well as Asian cuisine courtesy of Kim's Noodle House. Enjoy options such as Vietnamese po-boys, Hot wok noodles, fried seafood platters, or juicy cheeseburgers (just to name a few) aside your lane. Bayou Fun Time Bowl

Bayou Fun Time Bowling is eight-lanes of awesomeness. This bowling alley is especially suitable for children, so you can bring the whole family along. All lanes have a fully automated scoring system that includes many interactive bowling features and games, as well as automatic bumpers available for individual bowlers. Bayou Bowl also offers great bites such as wings, pizzas, and sandwiches available Monday-Saturday. There are plenty of special discounts on select days, and party packages available.

Colonial Lanes offers leagues for all ages and skill levels for those who want to improve their skills—they began working with their Youth League in Summer 2023 as well. Their are plenty of daily specials for those looking to bowl on a budget.
