2026 New Orleans Antique Forum
The New Orleans Antique Forum, presented by The Historic New Orleans Collection, returns for its 18th year.
The event will take place August 7 to 9 at the Williams Research Center on 410 Chartres St.
What is the New Orleans Antique Forum?
Put on by The Historic New Orleans Collection, the New Orleans Antique Forum is the Gulf South's biggest event for decorative art and material culture.
Since its launch in 2008, it has brought together antiques aficionados, scholars of material culture, and fans of finery. Attendees can browse antiques across the French Quarter, listen to expert talks, experience unique tours, and enjoy New Orleans culture.

New This Year
This year's forum, themed "Material Belief: Objects of Faith, Spirit, and Tradition," will feature items of great spiritual and religious significance. Specific items will include Catholic statuary, Judaica, prayer samplers, and Afro-Caribbean ritual objects.
Experts will walk attendees through the items on display, including George Schwartz, discussing the 19th and 20th-century Spiritualism movement; Alexia Williams, discussing Roman Catholic statuary; Marcelitte Failla, discussing the rich material culture of altars, offerings, ritual tools, and performance associated with African diasporic religions; and Beth B. Schneider, discussing Jewish ritual objects and their use in homes and synagogues.
