Celebrate NOLA's Most Prized Potty Parade
It's a bird, it's a plane, it's — a giant toilet? On the Saturday before Mardi Gras, a gargantuan porcelain throne with a regal plunger to match rolls through New Orleans, bringing laughs, smiles, and rolls of toilet paper to onlookers. It's the Krewe of Tucks, a co-ed krewe and beloved Mardi Gras tradition for the past 55 years. This year, Tucks is celebrating outside of its regular season with National Krewe of Tucks Day on Friday, June 9.
Come celebrate Tucks with the Krewe of Tucks at Port Orleans Brewing Company, located at 4124 Tchoupitoulas St., from 6 to 9 p.m. on June 9.
This potty humor party will feature live music and the return of The Krewe Of Tucks Beer: Roll With It!, provided by Port Orleans. Information on the krewe and upcoming events will also be provided at the Krewe of Tucks information tables. Look out for giveaways and prizes throughout the night.
This public event is free of charge. Costumes are encouraged, so put on your finest monk garb or restroom regalia. Event proceeds will benefit the Tucks Charitable Foundation. Enjoy a night of fun, friends, and festivity at the Port Orleans Brewing Company on National Krewe of Tucks Day.
