Twenty-two years: that's how long ago Napoleon Dynamite released in theaters.
The quirky tale of small-town nerd Napoleon Dynamite and his awkward family and friends rapt the public with its humor and odd, but endearing, moments. Who didn't have a Vote for Pedro shirt or randomly quote, "Freakin' idiot!"? The hit never had a sequel (not yet, anyway), though it did have a shortly-lived animated spin-off. It remains a cultural phenomenon that still feels like a fever dream.
You can relive the magic of Napoleon Dynamite at a special live showing of the film that you watch alongside the actors of the main characters. Jon Heder (Napoleon Dynamite), Efren Ramirez (Pedro), and Jon Gries (Uncle Rico) will join the screening and conduct an interactive Q & A that allows fans to ask those burning questions about the film.
This special event happens in New Orleans for one night only: Thursday, March 12 at 7:30 p.m. at the Mahalia Jackson Theater. You can see more details and purchase tickets here. The tour leaves town to entertain other cities right after, so this is your chance!
