PRESS CLUB HAPPY HOUR IS BACK!
For the first time in nearly two years since the COVID pandemic, the Press Club of New Orleans and Molly's at the Market hosted their first media night on September 15, to raise funds to support the PCNO's annual scholarship program, and reconnect with other newsmakers in person again.
This month's gathering featured guest bartenders Howie Kaplan, New Orleans Night Mayor. Festivities kicked off with the iconic Storyville Stompers and a brass band!
As usual for decades, a tip jar collected donations for the Press Club's non-profit scholarship fund benefiting the next generation of journalists and professional communicators
The special Press Club Media Night drink deal: Buy the first drink and the second one is on Molly's. Press Club members grabbed buddies, met with friends in person again, and networked with fellow news and communication industry professionals. While it was organized for the members of the Press Club of New Orleans, attendees didn't have to be PCNO members to participate in the event—It's was a win-win for the organization and the bar, famous for its Frozen Irish Coffee.
The Press Club of New Orleans expects to once again make the networking and social gathering a weekly event. Molly's at the Market is located at 1107 Decatur St. in the French Quarter.
