To Be Eaten Alive in NOLA
Mariah the Scientist, aka Mrs. Sold Out Dates, returned to the Joy Theater for night two on her "To Be Eaten Alive" Tour. She was joined with Canadian R&B artist Chxrry22 (pronounced Cherry 22) as her opening act. She performed her most favored singles "The Falls", "More," and "Favorite Girl."
Selling out both nights, the alternative
songstress-songwriter delivered passion and vulnerability into her performance.
Night two just seemed to be a bit more special. Her interaction with the crowd
and ability to provide good vibes through melancholic tunes is one to be
studied. She opened with true fan favorites "Note to Self" and "Reminders" from
her first album, followed by singles "77 Degrees, "Bout Mine," and "Out of
Luck" from her album To Be Eaten Alive.
