Love in the Garden 2025
After last year's hiatus, Love in the Garden made a splashy return to the New Orleans Museum of Art's Sydney and Walda Besthoff Sculpture Garden.
Attendees mingled with the artworks, gliding around the extensive gardens sampling fancy nibbles from some of the best eateries New Orleans has to offer. The tacos from Zocalo on Metairie Road were such a hit that they ran out before the event ended. The beef bourginon and polenta from Cafe Degas made you feel warm inside. The real treat was the four-way cocktail competition, even though other treats like mini bundts from Nothing Bundt Cakes and Aunt Sally's Praline Company were abundant.
When everyone had their fill of food and drinks, they hit the dance floor to boogie down to the sounds of Where Y'acht playing the big hits from back in the day. Others fancied finding a dim spot in the nooks and crannies of the garden to steal a kiss. With a perfect night like this, it seems unlikely that Love in the Garden will skip another year.
