Giving Back for a Good Cause

The Louisiana Children's Museum has announced that its 24th annual CHAIRish the Children Gala will take place this year on September 24.

The gala, which directly benefits the Children's Museum and its mission to strengthen families by providing children opportunities to play and learn using safe and innovative experiences, will give guests a night of entertainment and good eats.

An exclusive patron party will kick things off from 7 to 8:30 p.m. with live music provided by Louisiana's most popular fiddler Amanda Shaw, hors d'oeuvres from Dickie Brennan & Co. and Louisiana Seafood, and cocktails courtesy of Sazerac New Orleans. The main gala event will run from 8:30 to 11 p.m. and will have music from New Orleans funk band Sam Price & the True Believers, as well as food and drinks from Dickie Brennan & Co and Sazerac New Orleans.

Tickets for both the patron party and the main gala are available for purchase on the Louisiana Children's Museum's website. Anyone who is a Louisiana Children's Museum Member will receive a discount on their tickets.

Additional Activities to Support the Museum

In addition, there will be a raffle that people can take part in for the chance to win a Lee Michaels Fine Jewelry diamond tennis necklace that is worth $4,800. Single raffle tickets are $30 and can be purchased HERE. There is also a deal where three tickets can be bought together for $60 and people who do that will be given a special Lee Micheals Jewelry cocktail tumbler.

The event will also include an online auction, which will allow patrons to bid on many different items, uniquely decorated chairs, and entertainment packages. Online bidding will begin on September 10 and can be done on the museum's website.

"We are so thrilled to once again celebrate with the Louisiana Children's Museum's incredible community of supporters at our 24th Annual CHAIRish the Children Gala," Interim Chief Executive Officer Lauren Clay said in a press release. "This is the one time of year that the museum is open just for adults to enjoy our beautiful City Park campus at night. Along with being a lot of fun, this highly-anticipated annual event is a meaningful way to support the Museum's focus on early childhood literacy and learning."

"My family is excited to be a part of this year's CHAIRish the Children gala fundraiser," 2022 CHAIRish the Children Gala Chair Brett Lapeyre said in a press release. "We very much appreciate this amazing new museum built for all kids to enjoy. I know, for my family, LCM is a favorite destination."
