Halloween with the Toadies

It's a dangerous proposition to play a Halloween show in the city where every day is Halloween except Mardi Gras Day, but this is no new idea for the Toadies as they've done it before, five years ago to be exact. The Toadies are in the midst of and rounding out their Rubberneck 25th Anniversary (math is a bit off due to the pandemic) tour.

I was fortunate to see the original album release party in Texas at a hole in the wall club in Ft. Worth called Mad Hatters. This time around, in addition to playing Rubberneck front to back, the band played two amazing new tunes that should end up on a new album next year. Todd explained while on this current tour, the band had written sever new songs and have just recently started playing a few of those songs. The set was also highlighted by several fan favorites and ended with their raw cover of Screamin' Jay Hawkins' "I Put a Spell on You." You can see more picture here.
