Revel on the River on October 7, 8, and 9
30 years ago, Gretna Fest had its humble beginning as an exciting family festival where every person could have a weekend chock-full of food, music, rides, and entertainment. Gretna Fest's ideal situation along the Mississippi River has allowed the event to grow into a premier destination for children and parents alike.
"Gretna Fest has been such a huge event in Gretna and the whole area for years, and we're thrilled that it's back", Mayor Constant said. "I think people will be very excited about the acts we're bringing here this year, along with some other exciting changes".
2022's performance lineup will include amazing acts, but this year's headliners will make you not want to miss a single day of this festival:
Day 1, October 7: The Revivalists, Grace Potter
Day 2, October 8: John Fogerty
Day 3, October 9: The Beach Boys
People come back to Gretna Fest each year to experience the best in national, regional, and local talent, food, arts, and crafts.
This year's award-winning Fest will feature three stages of musical performances along with the following all-new spaces:
Club Backstage: In the Gretna Cultural Center for the Arts, individuals can enjoy gospel, blues, jazz, rock, and acoustic sets in addition to LSU and Saints Gameday Watch parties, a Full Bar, and an outdoor area with picnic tables.
Margarita Village: Sponsored by Jose Cuervo, this section of Gretna Fest will be featuring street tacos, margaritas, and a mariachi band.
Memorial Square: In this central green space location, guests can set out blankets and chairs while enjoying small musical acts before they make their way over to the steps of Gretna City Hall and snap some fun Instagram photos with Gretna Fest props.
Craft Beer Section: Port Orleans will be providing Gretna Fest with their best selection of craft beers.
Kid's Corner: For $20 per day, children can enjoy all-day access to games, inflatables, bungee runs, train rides, art booths, face painting, and a rock wall.
Guests can also expect to enjoy the Italian Village, Classic Car Show, Food Court, Arts & Crafts, and German Beer Garden showcased in prior years of the Gretna Fest.
Individuals can purchase advance tickets online at GretnaFest.com. Pre-sale ticket prices are $20 for a Single Day Pass and a decreased price of $45 for a 3-day Weekend pass. For children 12 and under, general admission is free. All tickets and transactions will be handled with an RFID wristband.
