Don't Miss Out This Father's Day

On Sunday, June 21, the annual Richard Newcomb Memorial Father's Day Race will be held at Audubon Park to commemorate the holiday with fathers and grandfathers.

The race will follow Audubon Park's historic running and walking path, featuring Louisiana's live oaks and diverse wildlife. The race features a two-mile and a half-mile course open to all runners and walkers of all speeds, New Orleans Track Club members, and non-members alike. Team members can sign up with their dad or grandpa to compete for special awards. To confirm team members on the morning of the race, visit the "Team Sign Up" table.

Event Details

Race day registration and packet pickup will be available from 7 a.m. until 7:45 a.m., located underneath Shelter #10 next to the Newman Bandshell. Race shirts will not be guaranteed to those who register on the day of the race and will be available on a first-come, first-served basis. The half-mile will start at 8:05 a.m. and the two-mile will start at 8:30 a.m. The award ceremony will start at 9:30 a.m. but is subject to change.

The two-mile run is $35 per person, with NOTC members receiving a $5 discount. The two-mile run for NOTC family members only is $60 per person. The half-mile kids run is $20 per person, with NOTC members receiving a $5 discount. All prices will increase after June 15 at 11:59 p.m. CDT. Entry fees are non-refundable.

Event partners are New Balance, Special Olympics Louisiana, and Alexander's Family Meals. In-kind sponsors are Crescent Crown Distributing, Baker Maid, Kentwood Springs, and Louisiana Pizza Kitchen. Valued sponsors are NOTC Grand Prix presented by the Louisiana Running and Walking Company and Louisiana Running and Walking Company.

Through RUN NOLA Charities, you are able to donate to either Special Olympics Louisiana or the Jefferson Presbyterian Day School of NOTIC Scholarship Fund online.

The race is also accepting volunteers for their course and venue stations, water stations, registration and check-in stations, and food/beverage and beer stations. To volunteer for the race, visit online.
