Evenings with Enrique 2026

The Evenings with Enrique series will return to the New Orleans Botanical Garden in City Park for 2026 starting on April 1.

This programming is presented by the Helis Foundation and will offer free access to enjoy the event's live music, food, and artworks.

Evenings with Enrique

Evenings with Enrique will take place every Wednesday in April from 5 to 7:30 p.m., extending the operational hours of the Botanical Garden. Local artists will be featured at the event and food will be provided by Chef Pat White from the garden's restaurant, Kitchen in the Garden.

The event series was originally launched in 2016, taking place every April and October. It is inspired by the legacy of Enrique Alférez, a Mexican sculptor who settled in New Orleans.

Alférez's work is featured in the Botanical Garden in an area called The Helis Foundation Enrique Alférez Sculpture Garden. His works are closely connected to the New Orleans' visual landscape.

Evenings with Enrique is also a part of the Helis Foundation's initiative Art for All, which strives to increase accessibility to art among Louisiana residents. Providing free admission for all residents at several of New Orleans' leading museums and cultural centers furthers their mission.
