Elle King would not have it any other way than to kick off her 2023 A Freakin Men Tour in New Orleans, one of her favorite cities in the world. A lot of times a band will proclaim their love for a particular city, and it just comes off as lip service, but Elle King genuinely loves the city and could not think of a better place to kick off her tour in support of her 2023 album, Come Get Your Wife.
The set was mainly composed of that material and several of those songs from the album debuted live. Elle is a straight up showman and storyteller. She was all decked out in an amazing Valentines inspired red outfit. The stage was highlighted by large light up initials, E and K, which only rivaled the monstress size of her personality. Her band, The Brethren, are amazing and a perfect complement to Elle's stage presence. You can see more pictures here.
