To honor our state crustacean and local restaurant culture, the Louisiana Restaurant Association (LRA) sponsored a crawfish-filled event Thursday night at Generations Hall. Area restaurants came out to showcase their best crawfish dish while competing for the honor of being named the King of Crawfish. Among many other crawfish delicacies, there were crawfish biscuits and gravy from Sac-a-Lait, fried crawfish macaroni and cheese bites from Semolina, crawfish remoulade from 12 Seasons/Mr. Mudbug Catering, and crawfish sliders from Café B. Old Town Soda Shop even came all the way from Slidell to bring us crawfish and jalapeno ice cream. After tasting all the crawfish options (and enjoying the open bar at the event), attendees voted on their favorites to select a winner.
