A cute little cottage
sits at 1014 North Rampart St., and you've probably passed it many times.
However, new life has taken home here, and you may want to stop and stay a
while. Bijou Restaurant & Bar is like a home away from home in its feel and
friendliness. The jovial nature of Bijou was apparent during the opening party
just before Krewe of Boo took the streets of the French Quarter.
As you enter, you will be
dazzled by the front bar, where the bartenders will be shaking up cocktails
including the Cadillac Margarita featuring Lunazul Blanco Tequila and the Miss
Jackson with Grey Goose Le Poire. You should not overlook the aptly-titled
Bijou: London dry gin, lively green chartreuse, sweet vermouth, and orange bitters.
As you progress through the hallway, you are welcomed by soft pink walls and
floor-to-ceiling windows that wonderfully juxtapose the industrial (yet
comfortable) lounge patio with the soothing, relaxing dining area. It's New
Orleans, of course, and the dining room has a long, sexy bar of its own.

Chef Eason Barksdale is the man behind the exciting dinner menu. This is the
perfect place for a small group of friends as the menu is full of tapas-style
dishes made to share. May I entice you with Gruyere Gougers, Fried Artichokes,
or Tom Yum Chicken? Sweet-toothed individuals may prefer the Reverie's Warm
Cookie Plate or Café Au Lait Pot A Crème.
Take a look at the
mouth-watering menus here. The Bijou is ready to remind you why you fell in
love with the French Quarter in the first place.
