Applications are now open for New Orleans Community Arts Grants 2025
The New Orleans Community Art Grants are administered by Arts New Orleans and funded by the city of New Orleans to support arts nonprofits throughout Orleans Parish. Grants are now open for both the "New Orleans as cultural capital category" and for nonprofits promoting or celebrating New Orleans traditions through the "more joy category."
Don't miss out on these fantastic funding opportunities for local organizations supporting local culture. Applications in both categories are due by 11:59 p.m. on April 10, 2025.
Arts New Orleans is a nonprofit dedicated to the promotion of arts and culture throughout the city. Since its founding in 1975, Arts New Orleans has contributed to 410 public artworks across the Greater New Orleans region. Through various initiatives such as their work in grant making, the Arts Market New Orleans, Luna Fête and more, Arts New Orleans works to promote and maintain New Orleans cultural wealth.
The "New Orleans as cultural capital category" focuses on organizations providing excellent art programming or services within Orleans Parish. These grants are renewed for a second year of programming. The "more joy category" funds organizations that relate to the Crescent City's culture of street parades. These groups usually include Black Masking Indians, also known as Mardi Gras Indians, as well as social aid and pleasure clubs. The more joy category offers one year, project based grants.
