The French American Chamber of Commerce--Gulf Coast will celebrate their twentieth annual Summer Wine Festival next weekend at Canal Place in New Orleans. On June 22nd, 2019, guests can make their way up to the beautifully decorated, second floor of Canal Place shopping mall for a high-spirited, high-class, French-style summer evening. Celebrating white wines from France, _Fête du Vin D'été will begin at 8pm and conclude at 11pm. Event attendees will receive discounted parking at Canal Place during the event.

The 2019 Summer Wine Festival is reminiscent of the popularDîner en Blanc_ that originated in Paris in 1988. Since then, this special evening has turned into a yearly event-- spreading not only throughout Europe, but overseas and into the United States as well. Now in 2019, the _Dîner en Blanc_ takes place in six of our seven continents where mass groups of people come together in a temporarily decorated spaces, enjoying an authentically Parisian atmosphere and dining experience. Guests are asked to come dressed in their finest white linens as a 'tip of the hat' to the history of this festival.

Immerse yourself in a world of white wine! Festival attendees will be offered an array of French whites from Fluer de LA, Dorignacs, Southern Eagle, and Republic Beverages. If that isn't enough to get you salivating, there will be more than six specially crafted pairings with French and American cuisines. This year, the FACC has invited restaurants such as Café Degas, Café NOMA, 1718 Hyatt, Bread on Oak, Degas House, Maurice French Pastries, Yvonnes, Coppervine, Creole Queen Steamboat, St. James Cheese Company, La Louisiane, Two Amigos, St. Anne Wine Bar, and more to participate in their thoughtfully selected, tastebud adventure.

Tickets for the 2019 Summer Wine Festival start at $50 for FACC members, $65 for non-members, and $40 for students with a valid school ID and can be purchased at https://2019summerwinefestival.eventbrite.com. All tickets purchased at the door will cost $75. With closed eyes, you can almost feel the warm Parisian breeze blowing by at this popular yearly festival. Live, French-tinged music will be played by local New Orleans artists. Look forward to hearing from the energetic gypsy jazz band Harmonouche and master solo acoustic guitarist John Rankin.

Prizes will be available throughout the evening in both an auction and tombola. Bottles of wine, restaurant gift certificates, and one of a kind vacations and winnings will all be up for grabs. For more information, feel free to visit www.facc-gc.com or email your questions to info@facc-gc.com
