Celebrating Women
The Virgin Hotels New Orleans will be a hosting a series of
female empowerment and appreciation events throughout Women's History Month
this March. Enjoy events with local musicians, craft cocktails, girl time by
the pool, and more.
Every Thursday from 6-9 p.m. the hotel with be hosting Empower Hour in the Commons Club. Each evening will feature a local female artist's music accompanied by specialty cocktails and delicious food. Some of the women's history month cocktails include Hortensia, Frida Kahlo, Rihanna, and Dolly as namesakes. March 7 will feature Amethyst Starr, Sarah Quintana on March 14 , Teena May on March 21, and Tra$hy Magnolia March 28. Make sure to reserve a spot on OpenTable.
The hotel will also be hosting Girls Just Wanna Have Sun at their pool, which starts on March 9 and will continue each Saturday and Sunday of the
month. Sundays will feature a live DJ from 3-7 p.m. Each Sunday of the month
starting on March 10, Cally Nielson will be leading a yoga class at 11 a.m.
On March 22, come to the pool from 3-7 p.m. to
participate in Floral Affairs: A Hendricks Spring Splash. The event honors Lesley
Gracie, the female distiller of Hendricks gin. A variety of Hendricks cocktails
will be served and those who purchase one will be able to arrange a floral
bouquet to take home.
To round out a wonderful month of female pride, the Commons
Club will host Divine Dining on March 22. Divine Dining will consist of a three-course
prix fixe menu priced at $99. The food will be refined fine dining and will celebrate
the powerful women of New Orleans.
