Top U.S. Gymnasts to Compete at Smoothie King Center
The 2025 Xfinity U.S. Gymnastics Championships will take place August 7 to 10 at the Smoothie King Center in New Orleans, bringing the top gymnasts from across the country to compete for national titles and spots on the U.S. National Team.
This four-day event is organized by USA Gymnastics in partnership with the Greater New Orleans Sports Foundation. The selected athletes will later represent Team USA at the 2025 World Championships in Jakarta, Indonesia.
In addition to the competition, the USA Gymnastics National Congress and Trade Show will run August 8 to 10 at the Ernest N. Morial Convention Center. The event is expected to draw more than 2,500 attendees and exhibitors and will offer educational seminars, demonstrations, and networking opportunities for gymnastics professionals.

Gymnastics Returns to NOLA
New Orleans last hosted the U.S. Gymnastics Championships in 1995, when John Roethlisberger and Dominique Moceanu won the all-around titles. The event was first held in Louisiana in 1977 in Baton Rouge. The Smoothie King Center most recently hosted the SEC Gymnastics Championships in March 2024.
History
Held annually, the U.S. Gymnastics Championships are the premier domestic competition in American gymnastics. The event has crowned national champions since 1963 for men and women.
Most recently, Simone Biles made history by winning her record ninth national all-around title at the 2024 championships in Fort Worth, Texas, further cementing her legacy as the most decorated gymnast in U.S. history.
