The Holiday Season Shopping & Events kicks
off November 26 through December 24, 2021, at The Outlet Collection at
Riverwalk on 500 Port of New Orleans. Entrances are at Julia Street and
Convention Center Boulevard and Spanish Plaza. The Riverwalk's 65+ retailers
will be offering special deals from major brands like Nordstrom Rack, Forever
21, Gap Factory Store, Tommy Hilfiger, and Johnson & Murphy. If you like
luxurious things, check out Kate Spade and Coach. And don't forget the
favorites Le Creuset, The Cosmetics Company Store, and Perfumania. Extended

Starting December 3, guests of all ages are
invited to partake in the annual Movies on the Mississippi and view
holiday classics. No need to worry about snacks and beverages because those will
be available for your consumption, but only while they last. The first 50
people to arrive will receive a free fleece blanket courtesy of the Downtown
Development District. 'Tis the season to be early! You know you want that
fleece blanket. Movies on the Mississippi will be located at Spanish Plaza, 2
Canal St., from 6:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m.
The Polar Express
will show on December 3; Dr. Suess' How the Grinch Stole Christmas on
December 10; and Elf on December 17.
Chabad Lubavitch of Louisiana, a non-profit affiliate
of the worldwide Chabad-Lubavitch movement, will celebrate their Annual
Grand Menorah Lighting at Riverwalk's Spanish Plaza. If this is a first for
you, take a chance to enjoy one of the largest Jewish gatherings of the year in
New Orleans. You and your family will be delighted to enjoy traditional Jewish
music, a hot latke bar, kosher food, and crafts. Community members will light
an 11-foot wooden Menorah, which was first built by Isak Borenstein, a Polish
holocaust survivor who eventually moved to New Orleans, honoring the beginning
of Chanukah. This event will be on November 28 from 4:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m.
Lighting begins at 5:30 p.m.
