The Mean One, The Green One: Dr. Seuss' How The Grinch Stole Christmas The Musical is Live in New Orleans
The age-old Dr. Seuss' Christmas classic How The Grinch Stole Christmas is currently playing live in New Orleans. That's right, the mean one, furry green one is on stage at the Saenger Theatre from now until Tuesday December 20.

Narrated by the Grinch's loyal dog, Max (old Max: W. Scott Stewart) takes us back in time to tell the story of the Christmas-hating Grinch and how stealing Christmas from the cheerful Whos of Whoville proved to be more of a heartwarming experience than a hateful one.
Living several decades with a heart "two sizes too small," The Grinch's strong dislike for Christmas led him to pose as evil Santa, taking all the gifts from Whoville. To his surprise, that venture did not stop the Whos from enjoying the joyful holiday. In fact, it only propelled them to come together and carol joyfully. To shock him further, little Cindy Lou Who, opened the Grinch's heart and it grew and grew until he put an end to his decades of solitude. Realizing that there's more to Christmas than he bargained for, the Grinch returns the gifts to the Whos and joins them in their Christmas feast. Even carving the roast beast!

This heart-warming holiday musical is an amazing experience for adults and children, the whole family will certainly enjoy the elaborately detailed sets and costumes. Inspired by Dr. Seuss' original illustrations, the audience easily escapes into the pleasantly cheerful world of Whoville.
Featuring the hit classics "You're A Mean One, Mr. Grinch" and "Welcome Christmas" from the 1957 TV special, this musical is brought to life on stage with animated costumes and performers.
The Grinch (James Schultz) gives a dynamic performance. He is a bit frightful yet funny and oddly charming. While both Old Max and young Max (Xavier Mcknight) brilliantly embody the nature and movements of a loyal pup. The Whos of Whoville are amazing with their vibrant personalities and harmonic voices. But the one who truly steals the show is the young Cindy Lou Who (Alternating: Aerina Deboer, Sofie Nesanelis). Her performance is touching and nothing short of magnificent.
