Ring in the New Year on the Steamboat Natchez this New Year's Eve.
The 21+ event takes guests aboard the steamboat for a perfect viewing of the annual New Year's Eve firework show on the Mississippi River. Enjoy a speciality food menu, tasty hors d'oeuvres, an open bar, live entertainment, and a front row seat of New Orleans on New Year's Eve.
The New Year's Eve event not only includes food, drinks, and prime-time view but also multiple photo opportunities to make the night memorable. Some menu items will include mini beef Wellington with horseradish cream, crawfish queso, raw oysters, jalapeño wontons, herbed goat cheese, and more.
Boarding for the evening takes place between 10 p.m. and 10:30 p.m. The steamboat then departs for an hour and a half of cruising the Mississippi River under the last night sky of the year. The Steamboat Natchez will then return to the dock just in time for the New Year's Eve firework show at the New Orleans Riverfront.

History of the Steamboat Natchez
The Steamboat Natchez was built in 1975 and is one of only two stern-wheelers still cruising the Mississippi River. The Natchez has had many modern renovations while keeping its authentic and classy ambiance true to the core.
Once upon a time, steamboats ran the river—quite literally. Steamboat races took place along the Mississippi River all through out the 1900s. This steamboat is the ninth steamer to bear the Natchez name and is undefeated in a history of river races. Unfortunately, there aren't any steamboat races scheduled for the future. This leaves the ninth generation Steamboat Natchez as the best of her line.
