First, don't miss out on The Radiators 2022 Reunion at Tipitina's. Also know as The New Orleans Radiators, the swamp rock band is one of NOLA's longest running and most successful rock bands. Wanna enjoy some R&B with a side of classical? Grammy nominated local group Tank and the Bangas will perform with the Louisiana Philharmonic Orchestra at the Orpheum Theater on January 14 at 7:30 p.m. Forming in New Orleans in 2011, Tank and the Bangas has a sound that incorporates funk, hip hop, rock, and spoken word. Celebrate and reflect on the life and legacy of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. at the Just Us event. Taking place at the Contemporary Arts Center on January 17 from noon to 5 p.m., this annual event will feature thought-provoking discussions about the civil rights icon. Don't miss out on see rock royalty at Elton John: Farewell Yellow Brick Road. That'll be at the Smoothie King Center on January 19. The night will no doubt be full of classic hits like "Rocket Man," "Your Song," "Candle in the Wind," and so much more. Head out to races at the Fair Grounds Race Course & Slots for two exciting events. First, the annual Road to the Derby Day horse racing event will take place January 22 starting at noon.
