First, have a "fur-tastic" night out with the Amazing Acro-Cats' Catmas Purrformance in Mew Orleans! Watch as real rescue cats perform acrobatics for the holidays. Not only that, there will be a "special performance" by Tuna and the Rock Cats. That'll be at the Allways Lounge from December 2-20 and all proceeds go directly to the cats. 2240 St. Claude Ave., rockcatsrescue.org

The St. Nick Celebration is returning to the French Market District this year. The festivities will take place in Dutch Alley and will include live music, a petting zoo, and arts and crafts. There will also be a St. Nick Second Line and a holiday "trick-or-treat" style activity throughout the market. That will take place on December 11 from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. frenchmarket.org/festivals-events

How about heading over to Beau Rivage and experiencing their Christmas in the Air show? Enjoy the holidays full Broadway-style with Christmas classics being sung by world-class singers. You'll even get to see Santa and his friends! The shows will run from December 12-26. 875 Beach Blvd., Biloxi, MS, beaurivage.mgmresorts.com

Next, how about getting on the "naughty list" by going see Trixie Minx's "Tease the Season" Burlesque Ballroom. Watch as Minx puts a holiday spin on Bourbon Street burlesque while Romy Kaye provides vocals for the show. The performances will be at Royal Sonesta's Jazz Playhouse every Friday until Christmas Eve. There will be food and cocktails too! 300 Bourbon St., eventbrite.com

Why not celebrate the end of this year's Hanukkah at St. Louis Cathedral? On December 5, there will be an interfaith concert at the cathedral at 4:30 p.m., featuring Music of the Temple Sinai Congregation. There will also be a concert following that by the Zion Harmonizers at 6 p.m. Come out and show how interfaith-friendly New Orleans is! 615 Pere Antoine Alley, stlouiscathedral.org

Finally, dust off your best red coat and beard, and take part in this year's Running of the Santas! Taking place December 11, the festive party will start at Manning's at 3 p.m. with great music and drink specials. The Santas will then run to the "North Pole," or Generations Hall, at 6 p.m. where the party will continue on into the night. There will be live music by Category 6 at Generations Hall, as well as a costume contest for the best looking Santas. runningofthesantas.com
