The Frenchmen Art Bazaar is set to host a grand opening celebration on Frenchmen Street this weekend.
Arts and crafts vendors will be welcomed back with a vendor market three nights a week with no cover charge to the public. Located at 619 Frenchmen Street, the multipurpose space will be hosting 20 plus vendors in the front and a special events space in the rear. Frenchmen Art Bazaar is proud to offer this self-sustained and newly revitalized space that will explore and showcase talent that bursts from all over the Crescent City from February 3-5 for its grand opening.
Dohm Collective will be bringing their unique and immersive production "Circle in the Square" to help host three days of silent performances for the grand opening. The group is one that shares a love for local music and art, and is operated by local artists themselves. Experience the full 24-foot geodesic projection mapped "Dohm" with three channels of music to pick from each night. Right alongside the newly established Frenchmen Art Bazaar, Dohm Collective's performance will take place on the route for Chewbacchus! Tickets are available for Circle in the Square via Eventbrite.
Frenchmen Art Bazaar will be curated by
New Orleans-based events team Fox Pocket.
The space will also offer special event opportunities in collaboration with
property owner Gregor Fox.
Frenchmen Street neighbors d.b.a. hosted numerous outdoor live music
events in the space during the 2021 season and will continue to collaborate
with Fox Pocket to curate events at Frenchmen Art Bazaar in the future.
