Savannah Bananas in NOLA
Ever been to a baseball game where the players do back flips and fans can call outs? The Savannah Bananas baseball team are bringing their fast-paced unique take on the traditional American sport to the Caesars Superdome on March 14 and 15, 2026.
Hosted by the Greater New Orleans Sports Foundation and Legends Global, the barnstorming baseball team will face their rivals, the Party Animals, at the Dome for two nights of baseball, music, and entertainment.
What is Banana Ball?
Banana Ball is all about the fan experience. The game keeps the backbone of traditional baseball while adding in a few key rules to make the game more entertaining for all.
Some differences between baseball and Banana Ball are a two hour time limit to keep the game steady, a "no walking" rule for the batter, fans are allowed to call out and challenge umpires, batters can steal first base at any pitch, players tend to perform choreographed dances, and more!
"Bringing Banana Ball to the Caesars Superdome reflects our mission of bidding on and hosting major events—in this case, events that are unique," said Jay Cicero, president and CEO of the Greater New Orleans Sports Foundation, in a press release. "The Savannah Bananas have created one of the most original and entertaining experiences in sports, and staging this game in a world-class venue like the Caesars Superdome will showcase New Orleans once again as a destination for innovative, can't-miss events."
Tickets for the Banana Ball event are exclusively sold on the Savannah Bananas' website through their official lottery system. Names will be randomly selected before the game dates, and the customer will be sent a link to purchase the tickets. Joining the official lottery system does not guarantee a ticket.
