Returning to Empower in 2024
The annual Rock & Rouge Women's Music & Food Festival & Beyond is scheduled for October 26 and 27, 2024, at New Orleans' Lafayette Square from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m.
This exciting two-day festival celebrates women's talents and achievements, as well as created to spotlight the women of New Orleans and beyond. While the full lineup is yet to be announced, attendees can anticipate:
- Female-Fronted Bands: A diverse range of rock bands led by talented women, showcasing the best of New Orleans' music scene.
- Culinary Experiences: Chefs will be vending succulent dishes, offering a taste of New Orleans' renowned cuisine.
- S.T.E.A.M. Activities: A dedicated tent for girls aged 8-13, focusing on Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, and Mathematics.
- The "End Zone" for Men: A special area featuring a Sazerac whiskey bar, televised football games, and DJ sets by LSU fraternity members.
The festival's location in Lafayette Square makes it easily accessible for attendees across New Orleans and surrounding areas. This free outdoor event promises to be an all-inclusive celebration of women's talents and achievements.

About Rock & Rouge
Founded by musician/actress Lani Ramos in 2017, this festival realizes Ramos' vision of creating a platform for women to showcase their talents and inspire future generations.
Rock & Rouge has made significant strides in empowering women and girls. The festival advocates for and supports Union bands, working directly with New Orleans' Musicians Local Union 174-496. In 2020, the Rock & Rouge Foundation received a proclamation from the City of New Orleans City Council's office for its outstanding work and city-wide impact.
