"A Quiet Celebration" Tour Kicks Off in NOLA
Music legend Paul Simon announced that the debut live performances of his Grammy-nominated album Seven Psalms will take place at the Saenger Theater on April 4 and 5. Traveling throughout North America in spring and summer 2025 for his "A Quiet Celebration" tour, Simon will perform this critically acclaimed album alongside his other great hits right here in New Orleans.

What Simon Will Perform
After incurring severe hearing loss during the recording of his album Seven Psalms, long-lasting live performances were seemingly out of the picture for Paul Simon. Simon was inspired to perform again when his production team worked alongside the Stanford Initiative to Cure Hearing Loss in redesigning the stage to make it possible for him to perform again. The tour will take place in small venues with optimal acoustics for Seven Psalms to be performed.
The "A Quiet Celebration" tour will be an intimate experience of music as it goes beyond the boundaries of your average album. Seven Psalms is an entirely acoustic album composed of one piece of continuous music that has been split into seven parts. Simon is know to have said that the listener completes the song, and he is excited to bring this unique album into the presence of a live audience.
By choosing to perform in intimate spaces with prime acoustics, Simon brings the sounds of this intricately layered album to life in front of the audience's ears and eyes.
Ticket sales begin Friday, February 21 at 10 a.m. Central Time on SaengerNola.com or at paulsimon.com.
