Uplifting the NOLA Community
InspireNOLA Charter Schools and Rock of Ages Baptist Church are partnering together to host the NOLALove Celebration of Inspiration, Love, and Advocacy. This exciting event is committed to strengthening and transforming the lives of New Orleans youth.
The events will be hosted on September 6 at 10 a.m. and 7 p.m. The morning message will take place at Xavier University of Louisiana's Convocation Center, and the evening revival will be held at Rock of Ages Baptist Church on Franklin Avenue.
What to Expect
Seeking to encourage the New Orleans youth, the kickoff event at 10 a.m. will include talks from guest speaker Bishop T.D. Jakes and a fireside chat with Rock of Ages Baptist Church's pastor Jonathan Everett. Alongside this, there will also be many impactful speakers, performers, and discussion panels. A morning of motivation, encouragement, and empowerment, NOLALove invites families and friends to learn, grow, and connect with each other and their communities as the school year starts. An event perfect for students both younger and older, these motivational and revitalizing talks and performances will start students off on the right foot as the school year begins.
The evening revival—called the "Fresh Fire Revival"—will similarly host T.D. Jake as the guest speaker. Visiting from Dallas, Texas, T.D. Jakes is committed to DEIA organizing, empowering communities in need, ensuring long-term environmental and economic health, and enhancing access to financial, educational, and job-training resources. Pastor of Rock of Ages Baptist Church Jonathan Everett and CEO of InspireNOLA Jamar McKneely have voiced their excitement about Jakes' visit, as well as the events.
