New Orleans Gem & Mineral Show 2026
The Gem & Mineral Society of Louisiana's New Orleans Gem & Mineral Show is back for a weekend of family-friendly fun and education from October 2-4 at the Alario Center in Westwego, LA.
The show runs Friday and Saturday from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. and Sunday from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Admission is free for ages 11 and under and is $3 for students, seniors, and military personnel with an ID. Weekend passes are $7 for adults.
About the Gem & Mineral Society of Louisiana
As one of the longest-running gem and mineral events in the Gulf Coast, the New Orleans Gem and Mineral Show unites dealers, exhibitors, and vendors from across the region to showcase an immaculate selection of minerals, fossils, gemstones, and more. The society has been an active member of the American Federation of Mineralogical Societies since 1964. Founded by like-minded individuals with a shared admiration for Lapidary Arts, the society aims to educate Louisiana on the Earth's beauty. Additionally, collecting and preserving lapidary arts is also their key motive.
Open to the public, the society hosts monthly meetings on the second Monday of each month (with a few exceptions) at LSU New Orleans Geology/Psychology building in Room 1000 at 7:30 p.m. Year-round workshops, events, and field trips are offered for members.
