NOBA Summer Concert Dances into New Orleans
The New Orleans Ballet Association, the Central Gulf region's premier presenting and service organization dedicated to the art of dance, will culminate the summer session with the NOBA Southern Dance Concert. Featuring the choreography and creations of the internationally-acclaimed Ronald K. Brown, Associate Artistic Director Arcell Cabuag, and Complexions Contemporary ballet, this concert showcases the best of local ballet talent, who were selected to dance in this award-winning, tuition-free program.
Joining New Orleans-based ballerinas will be Jourdan Epstein and Terk Lewis of Complexions Contemporary Ballet and Austin Coats and Isaiah Harvey of EVIDENCE. The Southern Dance Concert will feature a hybrid of global dance and ballet, artistically telling the story of the African Diaspora and much more. You won't want to miss Coats and Harvey's spectacular duet to March, set to a speech by Martin Luther King, Jr.
The performance will take place on Friday, July 28, at 7 p.m. at the Freda Lupin Memorial Hall (New Orleans Center for Creative Arts).
