Celebrate Middendorf's History
Celebrate 90 years of operations with Midderndorf's Seafood Restaurant from July 3 through 7 with free food, prizes and events in Manchac and Slidell, Louisiana.
In the summer of 1934, Louis and Josie Middendorf opened their "café" as a two-man team in Manchac. Josie kept customers coming back with her specialty thin fried catfish, while Louis welcomed customers from behind the bar.
In 2007, the restaurant was purchased from the Middendorf family by Horst and Karen Pfeifer, who previously ran Bella Luna in the French Quarter. Since then, the husband-wife team has embarked on countless renovation projects and successfully launched another Middendorf's location in Slidell.
Spin & Win

Everyone Gets Cake

Stuffed Animal Giveaway

The first 200 kids to dine-in at each Middendorf's location will receive a free stuffed animal while supplies last.
Face Painting
July 5, 2 p.m. to 5 p.m.
Middendorf's is offering free face painting for all attendees.

Gators

Hold on to your fingers! Middendorf's will host a free, live alligator experience, open to kids of all ages.
Unicorns

A giant, inflatable unicorn that shoots water will be stationed in Middendorf's Sand Play Area.

Drama Kings and Press Play
