Felix's Presents Mayfield's 208 Bourbon St.
Grammy award-winning musician Irvin Mayfield has found his way back to Bourbon Street with the opening of Mayfield's 208. The venue space sits above Felix's Restaurant and faces lively Bourbon Street, which you can overlook from the balcony.
What makes Mayfield's 208 stand out is that this is the only venue for jazz and other genres of music-infused entertainment that is open seven nights a week for all ages. The roster of entertainment includes Irvin Mayfield himself, his longtime friend Kermit Ruffins, Cyril Neville, Jason Marsalis, and Glen David Andrews, just to name a few. There are also lady-forward events with the Lady Gaga/Tony Bennett songbook show "Gaga For Jazz Lovers" and comedy specials. Mayfield explained that this venue is the culmination of everything he always wanted to have in a club and never did it before, and it's "a grand experience that comes from the soul and the heart."
