Little Stompers Library Series
The Second Line Arts Collective has partnered with The New Orleans Public Library to bring the Little Stomper Library Series back for the 2025-2026 year.
The program is designed for children ages 1-5 and their caregivers using live music, movement, and storytelling to introduce families to the rhythms, songs, and instruments of New Orleans. This series will take place at three libraries across the New Orleans area. The Second Line Arts Collective is a local non-profit on a mission to provide young artists with music education and the tools to thrive creatively, culturally, and financially. This mission is being executed through their free interactive music series.
The kick-off of the series will be held at Algiers Regional Library on October 4. There, children can learn age-old tunes of New Orleans and play classic instruments. Make sure to reserve a spot to learn, play, and love music. Below is the part one schedule of the series:
Part One Schedule
Part 1: Algiers Regional Library: *Each date below will include three classes: Big Easy Rascals / 12-23 months (10:15 a.m. to 10:45 a.m.), Swamp Stompers / 2-3 years (11 a.m to 11:30 a.m.) and Mardi Gras Mambos / 3-5 years (11:45 a.m. to 12:15 p.m.).
Saturday, October 4: 10 a.m. to 12 p.m.
Saturday, October 11: 10 a.m. to 12 p.m.
Saturday, October 18: 10 a.m. to 12 p.m.
Saturday, October 25: 10 a.m. to 12 p.m.
Saturday, November 1: 10 a.m. to 12 p.m.
Saturday, November 8: 10 a.m. to 12 p.m.
